
To undergo the nursing skills assessment, nursing students must first register with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
You need to provide a registration number. The nurse registration process involves eight steps and reportedly takes up to about 10 days.
Nurse skills assessments are generally handled by ANMAC (Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accrditation Council).
. Technical assessments are divided into Modified Skills Assessment and Full Skills Assessment.
1. Graduates of Australian nursing departments who have completed nurse registration will undergo the Modified Skills Assessment
2. Australian overseas nurses who have completed registration as Australian nurses will undergo a Full Skills Assessment.
1-1. To meet the Modified Skills Assessment, you must submit the following documents.
- Passport scanned photo file including the signature part (double-sided)
- Passport-sized photo taken within the last 6 months
- Nurse Registration Certificate
- Submit your diploma [if you don't have a diploma, a course completion letter (with your graduation date)] and your school transcript
- Certificate of career (only for experienced candidates)
- English score of IELTS 7.0 or higher (7.0 or higher in each section)
2-1. To meet the Full Skills Assessment requirements, you must submit the following documents.
- Passport scanned photo file including the signature part (double-sided)
- Passport-sized photo taken within the last 6 months
- Valid nurse registration certificate
- Certificate of career (only for those with experience)
*Experience in Australia: At least 12 months of paid work
*Experience outside Australia: At least 36 months of paid work
- English score of IELTS 7.0 or higher (7.0 or higher in each section)
* You sign up by visiting the ANMAC site. Usually, the screening takes about 5 to 8 weeks.
* Documents required for submission must not be notarized. You must upload the original scanned PDF file, and the photo file should be JPG or PNG
