If you find it difficult to understand but speak correctly and your problems or complaints are somewhat complex and require lengthy explanations, and you hesitate due to lack of English expression, you can use the "free interpretation service." The number for free interpretation service in Australia is 131 450. This free interpretation service is available 24 hours a day. Press 135 450 and be patient until an interpreter connects.

1. Call 131 450.

2. When the person answering the first call - the operator says, 'Can I speak to Korean?'

3. Wait until the operator connects you with an interpreter.

4. Once connected, state your name, the name of the organization you want to contact, and the organization's phone number .

5. Don't hesitate—if you wait, you can have a three-way call with yourself, the institution, and the interpreter. When the interpreter connects to the agency, the agency must pay the interpretation service fee,  so only if the agency pays the fee will the three-way call be made. If the agency refuses to accept the interpretation service fee, you must pay for it, but this may not be possible. If you absolutely must do so, you can open a personal account with TIS National and pay the service fee directly.
